Hi everyone!

Just a quick reminder that, while this listserv is intended as a discussion space, we know some of you might not be interested in getting many messages each day. If you’d prefer to get a single email summarizing all of the messages that day, you can visit americansforthearts.simplelists.com and enter your email address under my account/manage my subscriptions. Simple List will send you an email with a link to your subscriptions and you can elect to receive the daily digest there.

I hope that’s helpful! Please feel free to reach out to membership@artsusa.org if you need help.

Thanks!

Bridget

Lynn, would you please figure out how to have these messages go to you directly so that we’re all not getting the replies?

Lynn,

I would be happy to talk with you as well.  Laramie, WY adopted a public art plan in 2015 and formed the Laramie Public Art Coalition, which has a fiscal sponsor while going through the process of becoming a non-profit.

Thanks,

Hi Lynn

I would be happy to speak to you about The Rose Kennedy Greenway's Public Art Program here in Boston that was officially put into action in 2015 if you would like.

I believe this may also be helpful in your research. It is called the Field Guide for Creative Placemaking and Parks and was put out by the Trust for Public Land last year. The Greenway program is included in the study (Page 80) , along with 10 other case studies that include The 606 in Chicago and Governors Island  to name a few.

Cheers!

Hello, all

I'm working on the second edition of the Artist's Guide to Public Art.  Since I first wrote the book in 2008, a couple of hundred new public art programs have been added to PAN's roster.  I would like to interview a few administrators of either percent-for-art or non-profits to find out:  What was the motivation behind establishing a new public art program?

I will have follow-up questions but that is the main focus.

Please let me know if you'd like me to call you or if you'd like to send your answer by e-mail.  Either works fine for me.

Thank you,

Lynn Basa
