My advice would be that if you have an separate installer, make sure the artist is on site to oversee installation.

Also, in California, make sure you are still complying with Prevailing Wage laws and not using this as a tactic to get around that.

We are considering dividing up our public art agreements so that the artist is responsible for design + fabrication only, and handling installation services through a separate agreement. If you use a similar model, would you please share sample agreement templates for reference? Also, how have you approached soliciting for installation services in this model?
