Lauren,

This is our standard practice.  Every two years we do a call for qualified “fine art services” contractors and set up as needed contracts for a variety services, including art installation.  In cases where the artist’s fabricator should be the installer (but is not on the list), we get a sole source waiver to contract with that specialty contractor.  Happy to answer any questions about it.

Subject: Design + Fabrication vs. Installation Agreement Samples

Hello Colleagues,

We are considering dividing up our public art agreements so that the artist is responsible for design + fabrication only, and handling installation services through a separate agreement. If you use a similar model, would you please share sample agreement templates for reference? Also, how have you approached soliciting for installation services in this model? Thank you in advance.

Best,
