We often do design on one agreement and fabrication on a subsequent agreement.  If the artist is responsible for installation as well, fabrication and installation are covered in the second agreement.

If you like, I can share examples of language that makes it clear the artist is NOT responsible for installation, only delivery of the work for someone else to install.  Just PM me.

Thanks,

Hello Colleagues,

We are considering dividing up our public art agreements so that the artist is responsible for design + fabrication only, and handling installation services through a separate agreement. If you use a similar model, would you please share sample agreement templates for reference? Also, how have you approached soliciting for installation services in this model? Thank you in advance.

Best,
