Not sure if this is exactly in the info you are seeking, as it’s not any individual university’s program, but state-wide.

Here in New Jersey, we have a state-financed percent for art law. This means all our state universities, and any that use or borrow state funds for construction costs, usually participate in the Public Arts Inclusion program. I say usually, because the way the law is written is “up to 1.5%”, so occasionally they choose 0%....

We’ve managed lots of New Jersey university’s public art projects through the state public arts inclusion program.

I’d be happy to talk to you in more detail about it off-list, if you want- feel free to call me or email me.

All my best,

Danielle

Subject: University Public Art Programs

Hi all,

Is there a comprehensive list of universities throughout the US that do 1% for art programs (or something similar)? More specifically, we are trying to figure out:

If that list exists, we would love to be able to track it down. Otherwise, I am happy to start compiling if you work for or have knowledge of a university percent for art program that you would like to contribute to a list that I can share with anyone who is interested.

Thanks for your help!

Emily
