ASC Public Art is accepting application for Project Manager and Program Director Public Art-CLT.

Both are exciting opportunities in an expanding regional program with recently completed projects by Refik Anadol, Marc Fornes and Vicki Scuri. 

 

Project Manager

The Project Manager for Public Art manages assigned public art projects, under the supervision of the Vice President, Public Art, to meet the goals of the City and County’s 1% for Art Ordinances. This includes coordination of artist selection, project meetings and events, payment processing, and contract administration. The Project Manager works with City/County staff, artists, contractors and vendors to facilitate the construction and installation of public artwork and ensure projects are completed/installed within set budgets and timelines. The position researches issues and provides technical assistance related to public art projects. The Project Manager also participates in the overall programs of ASC and contributes to initiatives within the Public Art Department, as well as other related tasks.

Program Director Public Art -CLT

The Program Director will be a key member of the ASC Public Art team, charged with coordinating and managing public art planning, project implementation, community partnerships, and collection preservation and maintenance at Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) Airport. Responsibilities include processing invoices and monitoring CLT Airport Art program budget, work with artists during the design development and presentation, community outreach and education; serve as liaison between the artist and project team through design development, fabrication, installation and maintenance of the CLT Art Collection.

Reporting to the VP of Public Art, the Program Director provides administrative, curatorial, and project management support, works with airport staff, artists, contractors, vendors, tenants and other community partners to coordinate design, construction, and installation of public art installations, cultural exhibitions, performing arts experiences, and community outreach and engagement. Experience with managing art integrated into infrastructure/capital projects is preferred.
