Here was an extremely successful initiative done in West Hartford sponsored by their local Arts League. https://patch.com/connecticut/westhartford/artists-paint-bus-shelters-for-west-hartford-artwalk

I know they’d be happy to share how they made it work.

Subject: outdoor glass paint for 12-month artworks?

Hello Colleagues,

Anyone have experience and paint recommendations to share for creating artwork on bus shelter windows, intended to last appx. 12 months but then to be removed by city crews, ideally without too much difficulty during the removal?  For reasons of budget and timing, we’re not interested in vinyl wraps but would rather artists directly apply paint to the glass.

Cursory internet research suggests acrylic may be the best bet.  Any difference between regular acrylics vs. “peel coat” spray paints or similar products?

Thanks in advance for any paint and process recommendations you can share!
