RE: stipend for chainsaw / tree carving projects?

Hi!
It depends on the size of the tree and detail of the sculpture. I had a huge sycamore that we (the city) trimmed down to 12 feet tall for the artist to carve. It ended up being $7,000 all in.
Attached are before and after for reference.
Good luck!

Subject: stipend for chainsaw / tree carving projects?
CAUTION: External Email
Happy Monday PAN,
Does anyone have artist fee #s to share for a project where an artist is contracted to carve / create chainsaw art on what's left of a tree the municipality has removed? We have a 6'-diameter willow oak, and we may leave up to 20' of tree trunk for the artist to use. Our arborist and others are evaluating the tree for this use and we view this as temporary public art.
Thanks for any sample fees/stipends you can share!
