June 19th WEBINAR: Incorporating Well-Rounded Education into Accountability and Reporting: The Case of Arts Education
A growing focus on “well-rounded education” has prompted states and districts to include new indicators in their accountability and reporting systems. Some states have begun to turn data mined from statewide longitudinal data systems into
metrics for measuring progress and ensuring equity in subject areas that have not traditionally figured in state’s reporting systems.
Join representatives from The Connecticut State Department of Education and Chicago Public Schools who have been trailblazers in using arts education indicators in accountability and reporting systems. Their stories will highlight such
important topics as the capacity of data systems, strategies for creating valid and reliable accountability indicators, the importance of ongoing stakeholder feedback, and the ability of public reporting to prompt improvement.
The webinar will invite participants to participate in robust discussions about the challenges and opportunities of these emerging accountability and reporting strategies.
