Hello SEPN members,

We had a fantastic National Arts in Education Week at Americans for the Arts, and I hope you had a chance to celebrate in your state, as well!

While we were anticipating to meet during such a celebratory time for the rescheduled spring call, we have decided to cancel the SEPN call scheduled at 2pmEST tomorrow, Friday, Sept 13. We are looking forward to having a robust conversation about the exciting state news/work coming out of California and New Jersey, and hope to discuss how we can all prep for 2020 on our next quarterly call on November 14 at 2pmEST.

We still have an opportunity for conversation tomorrow with my ‘A Look Forward to the Future of Arts Education’ Virtual Conversation that I will be moderating at 3pmEST. This conversation will provide space for arts education advocates from all sectors to come together and dream big about where we want to see the field of arts education go in 2020 and beyond. You can register for the Virtual Conversation, which is free for all to join, at ArtsU.

I welcome any additional news or discussion points to be included as items for our November call; please forward them to me at kfey@artsusa.org.

Enjoy the final days of National Arts in Education Week, and we’ll talk to you in November!

Best,

Kelly
