Registration is now open for the
2020 Arts Education Policy Briefing, taking place Sunday, March 29, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. The
Arts Education Partnership and Americans for the Arts will host this annual event—focused on federal, state and local arts education policy—as part of the National Arts Action Summit.
The 2020 Arts Education Policy Briefing will explore the role of arts education in two education policy priority areas: school culture/climate and workforce development. Through
a federal policy update, state policy examples, and rotating discussions on local policy and practice, attendees will explore the existing and potential connections of federal, state, and local policies related to the arts in education.
As a member of AFTA’s State Education Policy Network, you can attend this event at no cost as part of your network membership!
Be sure to log into your Americans for the Arts membership account when you register in order to receive the discount. You can register for the Arts Education Policy Briefing as an additional ticketed event with your registration for the
2020 National Arts Action Summit; you can also register for the Arts Education Policy Briefing as a standalone event, if you are unable to attend the Summit. Registration also includes one (1) ticket to the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts & Public Policy to
be held on Monday, March 30 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
