Hello State Education Policy Network (SEPN) members,

This is a reminder of our meeting scheduled for tomorrow, June 10 at 1pmET. I’ve been working with our steering committee – Quanice Floyd, Michelle Burrows, and Haley Honeman – on how we can make the most of our time together as a network. As such, you’ll see that we are moving our network meetings toward cross-network sharing, strategizing, and activation. We will be explore new ways to support dialogue between network members.

Our agenda for tomorrow’s meeting will help create space for dialogue – both in folks sharing what is happening in your state and brainstorming strategies to implement successful policies and systems changes with other state-level professionals. We hope that you’ll join us ready to participate and share stories, insights, and ideas.

What successes have you had in ensuring representation for arts education spaces/educators/students are included?

Reopening Strategy and Troubleshooting

What strategies are working to ensure arts educators are actually providing arts classes in the fall?
How are arts educators responding to guidelines in your states, and how can we best support their concerns?
What roadblocks or challenges are coming up for arts education in reopening guidelines?
