I hope this email finds you well. I am writing with more details about next month’s annual meeting of the SEPN. You can find action items highlighted throughout.

 

The first in-person, annual meeting of the State Education Policy Network (SEPN) will be taking place on Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Washington, D.C. immediately following the Arts Education Partnership’s State Policy Symposium.

You may notice as part of the agenda, we will be attending the Turnaround Arts Talent Show at the Kennedy Center. Please RSVP for this event here. More information about the talent show is included at the end of this email.

Please find the below invitation from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Turnaround Arts to attend the Turnaround Arts Talent Show on Sunday, March 11 in Washington, D.C.

The Turnaround Arts Talent Show is a bi-annual event that brings together artists, students, partners and advocates all the way from Hawaii to Rhode Island to celebrate the transformation taking place in Turnaround Arts schools as a result of the program’s collective efforts. This year’s show will feature student performers alongside Valerie June, Keb’ Mo’, Bernie Williams, Lil’ Buck and others. The event will premiere the Love Train music video produced in collaboration with Playing for Change starring more than 500 courageous students and 40 Turnaround Artists from across the country.

This year, the Turnaround Arts Talent Show will proudly take the stage at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the Eisenhower Theater from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
