Good afternoon,

We have reason to celebrate this afternoon in Ohio, in spite of the temperatures.  As I'm sure you saw, Governor Mike DeWine has signed the two-year state operating budget for FY20-21 which includes a $5 million increase. The final state budget appropriation for the Ohio Arts Council now totals $34.5 million, a historic high level of arts funding in Ohio!

You can find graphics to share on social media through our friends at Ohio Citizens for the Arts: https://www.ohiocitizensforthearts.org/

This seems like a fantastic reason to get together and celebrate!

ArtsNow would like to bring this Americans for the Arts cohort together to celebrate positive news for the arts in Ohio and allow you time to meet Grace Myers, our new Corporate and Community Liaison.

One of Grace's first efforts has been to partner with Americans for the Arts to bring Jessica Stern to NE Ohio.  We cannot wait to welcome her to hopefully more manageable temperatures in September.  You and your staff are invited to join us for a networking happy hour and meet-and-greet.  Please share your availability by completing this Doodle at your earliest convenience, but no later than Wednesday, July 24th at noon.  https://doodle.com/poll/95qnztp9gc4qxuhz

We look forward to seeing you very soon. In the interim, please stay safe and hydrated this weekend.

Best,

Nicole
