Good Afternoon Americans for the Arts Members,
I hope are you enjoying what’s left of summer and have been able to get out and experience some amazing arts and culture events in your community. This is a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, August 20 at 3:00PM EDT will be our August Member Briefing. This month we will be joined by Patricia Walsh, Public Arts & Civic Design Senior Manager at Americans for the Arts, for an update and behind the scenes look at AFTA's work at the intersection of public art and transportation. During this event, you will hear a brief overview of AFTA’s Public Art & Civic Design strategy, our work to support local partnerships between local arts agencies and transportation professionals in collaboration with Transportation For America, and how you can support the Saving Transit Art Resources Act, a bill currently in the U.S. House of Representatives to support the funding of art and artists in transit projects. Bring your questions and thoughts for Patricia and join in the conversation.
