I’ve just taken the leap here as well, Lisa! You are right; I was floored by the cost of Submittable and other grant making platforms we looked into.   We ended up with Foundant, and their standard package. It’s $5,000 per year, and unlimited submissions/users. Other non-profits in our area also use it so it was familiar for our grantees.

Subject: [Americans for the Arts] Switching to online grant applications

Hello all,

Yes, I know we are behind the times and are still stuck here in the dark ages with giant piles of paper copied grants!  I would like to begin the process of converting over but am finding that grant software is super expensive for my organization.  We only give out one grant per year but it is rather extensive.  Does anyone out there use something that’s affordable and effective?  Affordable to me would be under $1000 per year.

I would also like to be able to collect and analyze data instead of manually entering it into a spreadsheet.  I have looked into surveying software but worry that it won’t work well for the grant reviewers.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks,

Lisa
