Thank you, Maury. That is the second recommendation I have received for DonorPerfect, so that one definitely bears some looking into further. I agree that no software seems to be the perfect answer, especially for those of us who have the complications surrounding payroll pledging.

Hi, Dorie,

We use DonorPerfect and are pleased. There is significant functionality, some of which we do not yet use. What it does NOT offer is a WPG/payroll function, though we are creating something in DP that will allow us to use as such. Donor Perfect works with Constant Contact. Online Forms within DP is great, although, as is usually the case with many others, it offers an Online Forms Plus with even more functionality.

Seems like we are all using something different. Who wants to take the best of all of them and create our own? = )

Subject: [Americans for the Arts] Database and Online Giving Software Suggestions

Looking for some advice regarding database changes/upgrades. At Culture Works, we have been using Blackbaud Raisers Edge 7 (now a bit ancient) to manage our database + the BB Net Community module for online giving and constituent communication. It’s unwieldy and (like all things Blackbaud) pretty expensive.

We have dipped our toe into trying something new and are currently using Bloomerang alongside RE. This software was sold to us as being much more reasonable in cost, but able to do everything we are doing now. It is indeed cheaper, but that is about the only good thing I can say about it! I’m thinking we are going to dump it. If your organization is considering it and want to know all the things I dislike about it, feel free to email me directly.

Does anyone in the UAF community use a software they are happy with that has these capabilities:

We are considering Raisers Edge NXT, but that of course is an additional cost over and above our expense before. If you have something you really like, I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you,

Dorie
