Ally,

I’d be happy to volunteer to set up a Doodle Poll for a call if that is what a good next step is.

Hello everyone,

This thread is very appropriate to Long Beach right now and would gladly be on a call. Our first fridays is organized by a business improvement district.  The second Saturday arts walk was volunteer run until this week when it was handed over to us. So, yes, would love to discuss.

Same here for Tulsa, OK. We are struggling here locally to find an appropriate funding mechanism for the non-profit partners involved in our First Friday art crawl. I would love to share our experience and hear what others are doing.

Thanks!

Ally,

I’d love to jump on a call to hear more and offer up what we are thinking of in PDX.

Subject: [Americans for the Arts] Question re: First Friday

Hello all:

I am in need of some advice on best practices in other cities regarding First Friday celebrations/events/etc. In Las Vegas, our First Friday event is managed by a local private 501(c)3 with substantial cash funding and in-kind support from the city. As the city is working towards helping this non-profit become more self-sufficient (aka less reliant on cash sponsorship from the city’s general fund), I would welcome any recommendations or models from other cities that we could consider for Las Vegas’s First Friday.

Thanks in advance for anything you are able and willing to share!
