Hello/hola, esteemed USUAF colleagues:
Not sure about you, but I’m in shock that it is September 16 and already time to begin planning for Winter Meeting 2020. I’m writing with a few updates to share:
Save the Date!!
The results are in – Winter Meeting will take place February 6-7 and the Tijuana excursion is scheduled for February 8. Arrival date in to San Diego will be February 5. We will be in touch regarding registration and hotel arrangements.
Planning Committee
If you are interested in participating on the planning committee, please let me know. Jonathon Glus will be acting as local host and working closely with me on logistics. Jody Ulich will also be on the committee. I would like to have 1-2 more participants from the general USUAF group. I anticipate a meeting in October, again in November and then a draft release to the group in December with final materials going out a week before the meeting.
Council Elections
ICYMI – Advisory Council elections are starting up. Please consider nominating folks from your team or your community to serve on the national advisory councils – Emerging Leaders, Private Sector, Arts Education, Public Art – also be on the lookout for an invitation for nominations for the national network steering committees for the Executive Leaders Network, Arts and Culture Leaders of Color Network and Arts Marketing Network.
Executive Leadership Forum Mesa
We have space in the Mesa program due to cancellation. If you are interesting in joining the Executive Leadership Forum in Mesa, AZ, please let me know and I can share the details.
Follow up – LAA Demographics
At the Summer meeting, there had been a request for demographic data on LAA leadership.

Specifically, page 14 has a table with demographic characteristics. This is for the general field and not USUAF specific.
