Hello All,
We are venturing into uncharted territory here in Austin, to utilize a new stream of our Hotel Occupancy Funding to support “commercial” music. We need a better term for this
program’s intended recipients, but it is targeting the for-profit industry music sector (versus non-profit music performance/activities, whom we already fund and will continue to fund).
Do any of you make this distinction in your granting or support programs or do you work with other City Departments (maybe an “Entertainment or Night Life” focused entity?) who
administer something like this? Looking for best practices or approaches that we could benchmark or learn from.
Thanks!
Meghan
