MATCH is a building that rents to the arts. It’s 4 theatres of various sizes, one gallery, a few rehearsal rooms, and office space—all rentable for arts orgs and artists. It fills up quick—it filled a huge need. Rents are subsidized by a single, 500K grant each year from a tax collection. It’s a standalone nonprofit, however.  -john

Subject: Re: [Americans for the Arts] Models of Creative Space

Hi Kristin,

16th Street Theatre in Berwyn, might be a good group to contact. They have a partnership w/the Berwyn Park District, it's a small wonderful space. Ann Filmer is the contact: ann@16thstreettheater.org 708 795-6704, I do not know if they are in the bldg at this time or the hours.

Take care and be safe,

Camille

Hello!

Does anyone have a (successful) model of creative space/small flex theater space that is owned/controlled by their city or cultural affairs and either operated by your department and made available to the arts field, or operating per an operating agreement with a nonprofit arts operator? On a quick turnaround. Thanks in advance!

Kristin
